Day 3 - Toledo excursion and Madrid sightseeing
First we drive to Toledo ,which is magnificently situated on a hillsurrounded by a meander in the Tagus River. Our walking tourincludes a visit to the Synagogue, the Church of Santo Toméand a Damascene steel workshop because virtually all of the swordsin Spain were forged in Toledo! Then back to Madrid where we drivealong the wide tree-lined avenues to see the Cervantes Memorial inthe Plaza de España, the Puerta del Sol and and we take astroll to see the magnificent Plaza Mayor. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 4 - Madrid - Cordoba - Seville (2 nights)
Today our Tour Director will show us a Hidden Treasure and we willhear about the legendary Don Quixote who jousted at windmills! Thento Cordoba where we visit the Mosque of the Caliphs and learn ofthe Moorish history of the region. Then we continue to our hotel inSeville. Tonight we enjoy a fantastic barbecue Spanish style!(Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner) Hotel: Tryp Macarena (2 nights)

Day 5 - Seville sightseeing and at leisure
Our sightseeing tour takes us through the tree-lined streets ofSeville to the beautiful cathedral with its mighty Giralda BellTower and the tomb of Christopher Columbus. We will also see thepools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park, and walk through theJewish quarter. This afternoon we have a Flamenco dancing lesson -we will really be able to impress our friends when we get home!!(Buffet breakfast)

Day 6 - Seville - Granada
A scenic drive takes us to Granada to enjoy a guided sightseeingtour including one of the most impressive sights in Spain, theMoorish Alhambra Palace, described as a ''fantasy of lace in stone.''We also wander through the exotic water gardens and have amazingviews over the town and the surrounding hills from theterraces. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Gran Hotel Luna

Day 7 - Granada - Valencia
Today we drive to Guadix where you can see the largest number ofcave dwellings in the province. Some of the cave dwellings looklike small cottages. Others look like walled earthen mounds withchimneys sticking out of the earthen parts! Time to take picturesthen on to Valencia, renowned for its oranges, where we see theBull Ring and the Towers of Serrano and Quart. Then we learn thatValencia is also the place where paella was invented and we learnhow to make this fantastic dish and to eat it too!! (Buffetbreakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Barcelo Valencia

Day 8 - Valencia - Barcelona (2 nights)
Our first stop is Peniscola, situated on a peninsula, it isdominated by the medieval fortified castle, with reminders ofknights on horseback from the past. Then on to Barcelona where onarrival we will enjoy a sightseeing tour which highlights thefantastic architectural creations of Gaudi, the Ramblas, the PlazaCatalunya and the Gothic quarter with its magnificentcathedral. Day 9 - Barcelona at leisure
Today maybe drive to seaside Montjuic , site of the 1992 Olympics,or rent a bicycle and pedal around the beach and the Parc de laCiutadella or visit the Nou Camp , the largest football stadium inEurope? This evening we enjoy a special Farewell Dinner togetherwith our Tour Director and new-found friends to celebrate the endof our tour together. (Buffet breakfast / Farewell dinner)

Day 10 - Barcelona - USA
Adios to Spain, our Tour Director and our new touring friends asour Spanish tour comes to an end but we will soon return next yearto explore more of Europe! Return flight to USA. (Buffet breakfast)
